The hiking to refuge Bertacchi and Lake Emet was planned some weeks ago, but delayed due to snow or bad weather. So we went on Sunday. You can read the post about the previous attempt here.
Yesterday it was cloudy and raining, today just cloudy so we decided to go for it. It took a bit more than 2 hours to reach Lake Montespluga, where we should start walking. We arrived at 10.30, so the parking slots near the path were all already taken. We had to park a bit far. The first path of the path is a mulepath, in the middle of meadows (there were cows and horses).
Later it becomes a path on the side of the mountain. There are some stone steps and 2 chains to help you to pass the harder points (it’s pretty easy anyway, when there are good weather conditions). The chains are probably usefull during winter or with wet ground.

We continued till the refuge (you can see it while you walk on the path), while the lake Emet is invisible till few meters to your goal. It took around 1 hour and 15 minutes (exactly as indicated on the signs).
We walked a bit around the lake waiting for lunch time (we had a plate with ham and salami and polenta with sausage – tasty). After lunch, as it was still early, we walked at a short distance from the refuge to reach a small lake. Then we returned to the refuge Bertacchi. From there, with the same path back to the car, and returned home. I would like to go back again there, in a sunny day with no clouds, to enjoy more the view.
