Saturday July 7th, 2012
Departure by car early in the morning to avoid traffic. We arrive with no traffic to Brunico and we stop for a coffee and a croissant. We walk along the main street to the church of S. Maria Assunta, then we come to the church of S. Caterina from which we also see the Castle nearby.
We return to the car and reach Anterselva (our goal), but since it is too early to go to the hotel, we go to the lake of Anterselva.
It’s cloudy We leave the car, we circle the lake, then we stop for lunch in the nearby “malga”. After lunch we go to Passo Stalle. The way to go is alternate one-way and we try to calculate the time not to wait too long. Once at the pass, we go round the lake, the weather is getting worse.
Then picked up the car, we go down and go to our hotel in Anterselva. Left the bags we walk through the town, in front of the church there is the burial of the mayor, with band, people in costume, and lots of people. Then we visit also Anterselva di Sotto, and we go down to Valdaora di Mezzo. Finally we come to Valdaora di Sotto, before returning to the hotel. After dinner, we walk a bit in Anterselva di Mezzo.
Sunday July 8th, 2012
After breakfast, we go to “malga” Schworz located above Anterselva.
The road is quite uphill, but luckily it is in the woods and quite fresh. Along the way we stop to admire a waterfall. After the walk, we reach by car Campo Tures, where we have lunch. We walk a bit around the town. Finally we see the Cascate di Riva (the 3 and 2, the first is too far away).
Then we take the car and go home. On the highway there is an accident that delayed our return.
