We leave on Friday night by car. Due to the time we find a lot of traffic to get out of Milan. Short stop at the border to buy Swiss vignette and we continue our trip. At around 21 we stop for dinner and for fuel in Thusis. Around midnight we arrive at the hotel in Munich. Parked the car and left the suitcases in the room, we go out for a short walk around the hotel. Not much to see, someone eats a snack (hamburgers), then we go back to the hotel (it’s around 2 am).

We get up quietly, not in a hurry (we already know Munich), and this time we just want to relax. After a hearty breakfast, we go straight to the square where the Oktober Fest is held: void is enormous. We do some shopping around, then we go to the center. There we walk along the Neuhauser Strasse, we enter the Cathedral, then we come to Marienplatz in front of the Rathaus at noon, just in time to see the clock moving puppets. We go to Viktualienmarkt and then lunch at a pub nearby. After lunch we turn a little more in pedestrian streets, up to Residenz and Tehatinerkirche.
The weather is getting worse, the sky is very dark but no rain (not yet). We enter the Kaufhof to do some shopping and then we go back to the hotel. One of us decides to stay for a while at the hotel. When we go downtown, it’s raining, we go to Saturn for a while, but when we go out it rains even stronger. We split, some people go back to the hotel and who stays in Monaco to see it also under rain. We walk back to the pedestrian street, up to the Rathaus, we enter into its backyard, then Heliggeistkirche, St. Peter and Asamkirche.
After reaching the Sendlinger Tor, we return to Marienplatz, then again Karlsplatz to join with our friends. It’s now dinner time, we would like to dine in a place near Rathaus, but after we sat we are ignored by the waiters so we decide to change and enter in another place. They are all crowded. After dinner, back to the hotel.

Sadly today we must be home soon, we haven’t much time. However, no hurry and we stop in Lindau.
We walk in the pedestrian streets and then lunch at the lakeside. After this peaceful time, we make only a brief stop at San Bernardino (there is still snow), and at 18 we are in Como. From here we continue with the train and get home at about 19:30.
