2008 – Belgium: This time we go all together

Another daily trip (to Belgium), taking advantage of the wonderful offers we found for flight tickets (also this time the price was only 0,01€). So many friends joined us for this Saturday.

Saturday November 8th, 2008

November is not a good time for travelling… but for one day, we can do it. And so today we go to Belgium. We have already been to Bruxelles, so we choose to go to Liege.

At the airport we rent 2 cars (we are 9) and we stop at the palace of Princes-Bishops, where we start to visit the city. Then we walk along the street till Hotel de ville and St. Antoine. Near it, there is the long ladder that leads to the top of the city. Some of us give up to the ladder. So we split in 2 groups, and we start to go up. It’s not so hard to reach the top. We reach the citadelle, we saw some walls surrounded by trees.

From above, we can see the landscape on the city. Then we go back down, and meet the other group. We walk in the city center, along the river and in the pedestrian streets. In the meanwhile we see College St. Barthelemy, Notre-Dame-de-l’Immaculee-Conception, Place Paul Janson, St. Barthelemy, la Maison Havart, St. Denis, St. Paul’s Cathedral and St. Jacques.

After lunch we continue our visiting, the time goes fast, It’s already afternoon when we leave the city to go back to the airport, but we stop in Namur, it’s late, it becomes to get dark, so we walk around in the pedestrian area, like Rue de l’Ange till St. Loup. We have no more time, so we go back to the car and to the airport.
