Snowy weekend at end of November in Stockholm. It was a great chance to see this beautiful city also with snow.

Weekend in Stockholm… at the end of November. We leave on Friday evening and we arrive in Stockholm really late (it’s snowing), and we go immediately to the hotel (nice price, nice hotel, really near to the center).

After breakfast, we go out and start our visit. It’s snowing. It’s early and nobody is around. We cross the bridge and we reach Gamla Stan, the main island. It’s nice to walk while it’s snowing. Near Kungliga Slottet, the royal palace, it snows a lot. We are the only ones around, other than the guards, forced to stay there. From here, we reach Riddarholmen, with the church where swedish kings are buried, but in winter-time the church is closed.

We walk a bit in the center, then we reacch the ferry boat to make a trip in the archipelago. The trip is 3 hours long. While we are on the boat, the sun start to shine a bit and the landscape is wonderful.

Back to Stockholm we go to see the Vasa, but before it, we stop near to eat a sandwich. Very good. At the museum I buy the Vasa model, great stuff. It’s already dark when we finish the visit, so we end the day at dinner.

It’s a wonderful day, but sadly we have few time. We go to Stadshuset where we take a lot of pictures. Later we go to Kaknastornet (TV tower), from where we admire the wonderful landscape on the city.

Time goes fast, we go back to the center, we have lunch and then we go back to the airport.
